Frequently Asked Questions
How does PageSpeak know how characters should respond?
Each character is built from the source material—their personality, speaking style, knowledge, and relationships. Responses are crafted to be authentic to how the character would actually behave.
Do characters remember our previous conversations?
Yes! Characters maintain memory of your conversations, allowing relationships to develop naturally over time. They'll reference past discussions and remember things you've shared with them.
Can I talk about events that happen later in the book?
You can choose specific events to discuss. When you select an event, the character will respond with knowledge up to that point in the story, preventing accidental spoilers if you haven't finished reading.
What books are available?
We currently feature classic public domain literature including works by H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, Arthur Conan Doyle, and more. We're constantly adding new books to the library.
