Dog-man

Dog-man is a supporting character in H. G. Wells's classic novel "The Island of Doctor Moreau" (1896). A Beast Man created from a dog (likely), characterized by immense loyalty. He speaks initially, acknowledging Prendick as 'Master,' but over time, he 'imperceptibly slipped back to the dog again; day by day he became dumb, quadrupedal, hairy.'
